Rena Mundo has worked as a director, producer and writer in documentary film and television for 5 years. COMMUNE is her first feature documentary. In November 2003, she directed and produced the acclaimed MTV show, MY LIFE TRANSLATED. She has also produced for Michael Moore's Emmy-nominated series, THE AWFUL TRUTH. In 2002, Rena directed a documentary about health in a Louisiana prison for Discovery Channel. Prior to that, she directed HALFWAY HOUSE, an A&E documentary following 3 violent offenders. Rena directed the highest rated show of the VH1 documentary series, ROCKSTORY. She has also freelanced for the NPR series ALL THINGS CONSIDERED and directed a short documentary in Havana, Cuba. Rena received her BA from the University of California at Berkeley and her MA in Journalism from New York University. Rena was born on The Farm and currently lives in New York City.

| Nadine Mundo, who was born and raised on The Farm, is the Co-Director of COMMUNE. Most recently, she was the associate producer and director of photography of the acclaimed MTV show MY LIFE TRANSLATED. Prior to that, Nadine directed ART OF SURVIVAL a documentary produced by Benjamin Bratt. ART OF SURVIVAL explores how Capoeira, an Afro-Brazilian martial art, has changed the lives of inner-city youth in San Francisco. She received a bachelor’s of science degree in Health Education from San Francisco State University with honors. Nadine received the national Robert F. Kennedy Fellowship to teach health education and street law to urban youth. Nadine currently teaches Capoeira in New York City. |
